Welfare Benefits Caseworker

Contract Term:

Fixed term to 31 March 2026 (may be extended subject to funding)

Hours:

21.75 per week

Salary:

£22,689 - £23,223 (FTE)      (£13,614 - £14,330 actual)

Location:

Leigh and any other company location


Purpose of Role

As a Welfare Benefits Caseworker you’ll manage a client caseload. You’ll check benefit entitlement and eligibility, complete forms and provide assistance to challenge welfare benefit decisions, including via written submission and/or representation at Tribunal hearings.

You will need:

  • a minimum of 1 years recent experience of welfare benefits advice work (essential)

  • knowledge and experience of undertaking casework (desirable)

  • to be self motivated with good organisational skills, in order to meet deadlines

  • excellent interpersonal, oral and written skills, with the ability to draft written submissions and represent clients at First Tier Tribunal
