We're pleased to announce the launch of our Help to Claim service. Our new service is designed to help support you in the early stages of your Universal Credit claim, from making your application, through to your first payment.
If you wish to help us and your community, then we've arranged a couple of recruitment days where you'll be able to drop in. The times are detailed below:
On Friday 22nd March 2019, our offices and outreaches will be closed during the afternoon. Our drop-in service for the Wigan office will run from 9am-12pm for that day. The Turnpike will be hosting the Digital Hub service as normal. We're sorry for the inconvenience this may cause, and we'll return to our usual schedule after this day.
Citizens Advice Wigan Borough will close for drop in service on Friday 21st December at 13:30. Our telephone Adviceline service will be open during the Festive season on 27th, 28th and 31st December 9:00 - 13:00 on 0300 3309 077. We will then reopen as normal at 9:00 am on Wednesday 2nd January 2019.
Information can also be found on our information website:-
We would like to wish you all a very Happy Christmas and a Happy New Year.
We are delighted to have been awarded Big Lottery Awards for All funding. This money will be used to develop a digital information suite, and improve IT equipment used at outreaches.
One of the planned uses for the new information suite will be to offer increased practical help to clients when they need to apply online (for example Universal Credit).
