Debt Adviser (Trainee considered)

Contract Term:

Fixed term to 31 March 2025 (may be extended, subject to funding)

Hours:

36.25 per week (between Mon-Fri 8am and 6pm, Sat 9am-12pm on rotation)

Salary:

£22,689 - £23,883 per annum (depending on experience)

Purpose of Role

As a debt adviser you will use sensitive listening and questioning skills in order to engage with clients who may be vulnerable and distressed. You will help them understand their options to resolve their situation, support them to decide on a course of action and, when required, negotiate with creditors on their behalf. You will need to be able to work to strict targets, have excellent oral and written skills and good numerical skills, to calculate benefits and accurately compile financial statements.

You will deliver advice across a range of channels, although mainly digital and may have the opportunity to work from home part of the week following a probationary period.
