Free TV Licences are changing

The current Free TV Licence scheme stops on the 31st July 2020 and a new scheme will start on 1st August 2020. Read below to find out more about these changes:

Currently, if you or anyone you live with are 75, you can apply for a Free TV Licence. If you already have a Free TV Licence, this will still be valid until 31st July 2020. From 1st August 2020, a new scheme starts.

Under the new scheme, you (or your partner if you are a couple), must be receiving Pension Credit to qualify for a Free TV Licence.
